Gunfleet Sailing Club held its Annual General Meeting when Commodore Richard Walker looked back on a very successful year which included two major activities that would be long remembered.  The first was the rebuild works to the Clubhouse, including an extension that housed both an entrance lobby and a race box; this had been, primarily, carried out by members and was a fitting testament to the commitment and enthusiasm that abounded at the Gunfleet.

Gunfleet Sailing Club held the final race in its Winter Series last Sunday 30 November 2025 and, with three different winners to date, all eyes were on the key players to see who would take the trophy.

Gunfleet Sailing Club’s fifth race in its Winter Series, held on Sunday 16 November, saw a convincing win for Ken Potts in his RS Aero.

The fourth race in the Gunfleet Sailing Club’s Winter Series took place last Sunday 9 November 2025 in almost Spring-like conditions, with Derroll Pedder taking his RS Aero into the top spot.

Members of Gunfleet Sailing Club took part in the third race of their Winter Series on Sunday 2 November 2025 with Ken Potts claiming victory in his RS Aero.

Gunfleet Sailing Club members held their annual Laying-Up Dinner in the Clubhouse on Saturday 18 October 2025 with a “full-house”.  Commodore Richard Walker welcomed everyone and, after a splendid meal, looked back over a very busy and successful year both on and off the water.  He felt the Club should be particularly proud of the united way the members carried out some major improvements to the Clubhouse itself last winter.

Gunfleet Sailing Club members took part in the first race of their Winter Series on Sunday 19 October 2025, with the daunting prospect of large waves and grey skies as they arrived to rig-up.

Gunfleet Sailing Club held the final race in its Autumn Series on Sunday 5 October 2025 in some very lively conditions that saw winds touching force 7 at times; a spectacular end to the main 2025 sailing season.

Gunfleet Sailing Club held the third race in its Autumn Series last Sunday 28 September 2025 and, after some nail-biting tussles, it was a win for John Tappenden in his RS Aero.

The second Autumn Series race at Gunfleet Sailing Club last Sunday 21 September 2025 saw the top three places being a repeat of the first race the week previous, with Tim Dye again claiming victory in his RS Aero.

Gunfleet Sailing Club members took part in the first race of its Autumn Series last Sunday 14 September 2025 which, after an incredibly close fought battle, was won by Tim Dye in his RS Aero.

Members of Gunfleet Sailing Club enjoyed lively conditions when they took part in the race for the Fleet Championship on Sunday 7 September which, as well as determining the individual winner etc., also determined whether the RS Aero or Laser was in fact the top fleet in the Club.

Gunfleet Sailing Club held the second Personal PY Handicap Race and, after a hard-fought battle in testing conditions, Dave Ingle claimed first place in his RS Aero.

Fifteen dinghies took part in Gunfleet Sailing Club’s race on Sunday 24 August 2025 for the Toppo Single Helm Trophy, coupled with the race for those under 18 years of age for the Cadet Single Helm.
