Cadets & Otters 2022

The Gunfleet Cadets and Otters had their own table at the Laying-Up Supper on Saturday 15 October and as well as enjoying the meal (doughnuts galore for sweet) had a great time with their own fun-packs.  They also found time to play games on the beach (in the dark!) before cheering Finley for winning the Topper Class Points and the Junior Leading Helm.

The next day it was good to see some of the young sailors out on the water, enjoying sailing their Toppers, having rigged the 4.2 sails with the winds forecast as force 5.

It was great to see four Toppers out on the water today - Sunday 2 October, and Finley, Laura, Adam and Belle had some real fun taking their boats round the buoys.

Four of the Gunfleet Cadets and Otters went along to Birch Hall Adventures at Kirby during the summer holidays for a great week of fun, including gaining their certificates in Royal Yachting Association dinghy sail training.  Well done Finley, Belle, Isabelle and Charlie, and it has been great to see you out in your Toppers enjoying your sailing.

As the sailing season starts to draw to an end, so the Cadets and Otters had an opportunity to get wetter than usual at the St. Osyth Aqua Park on the old tide mill lake.  It all started with a game of "it" and ended with hot chocolates all round, after loads of fun in, on, and under the water.

There are plans for lots more fun things to do over the winter months, so watch out all you Cadets and Otters as mums and dads start to get those email updates from the Gunfleet.
