Cadets Have A Great Night Out

Last Saturday evening, 5 March, there was a very good turn-out for the Club's Cadet Night with a whole crowd sitting down at the start for a fish and chips (or jumbo sausages and chips) meal.  After the meal was over it was a really relaxed atmosphere as everyone settled down to an evening of entertainment.  This was very light hearted, taking a break from the previous two events, which were part of the Club's high-tech sail training course.  The event made full use of the projector and IT equipment that had all been purchased a few years ago as part of a specific Cadet Project - the money being raised exclusively by the Club's younger members.

Cadet Commodore Daisy Swinbourne said "It was so good to see so many fellow members down at the Club in the winter and helps to maintain the camaraderie that built up during the 2015 sailing season.  Having all been down in January and February to learn more about tactics and boat speed it was so nice to just chill-out, this time, with so many really great friends".
